Location. The Hotel Aurora is located one kilometre from the historic centre of Siracusa, on the island of Orygia, Sicily. The seafront is 50 metres away and Noto is at a 25 kilometre distance. The nearest train station is two kilometres from the hotel.
Hotel Features. The Hotel Aurora is housed in a traditional Sicilian property with an ornate stone fa�ade lined with shuttered wrought iron balconies. The hotel's public areas are decorated with artefacts, richly patterned rugs and antique style furnishing, and guests can start the day with a complimentary buffet breakfast in the breakfast room with its bright blue decor. Those arriving by car will find a private garage on site.
Guestrooms. Traditional Sicilian decor and baroque style furnishing characterise the 30 guestrooms at the Hotel Aurora, all of which are air conditioned and include wireless Internet, satellite television, direct dial phones, minibars and hair dryers.
Expert Tip. Noto, located 25 kilometres from the hotel, boasts an historic town centre characterised by crumbling Baroque churches, houses and palaces, all with gold coloured stone facades. Highlights include the Ducezio Palace, the Duomo and the Villadorata Palace. The town was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2002.

From Catania Fontanorossa Airport (CTA):
Distance to the Hotel Aurora is 57 kilometres, approximately 45 minutes' drive.
Getting there. Buses run directly to Syracuse and Taormina. Tickets are available from a booth in front of the terminal building, and must be validated when boarding. Taxis cost around 70 EUR to the hotel.
Getting around. An inexpensive rail network links Sicily's larger towns, including Palermo, Messina, Catania, Taormina, and Syracuse. Buses run throughout the towns and many of the smaller villages. A car is recommended for exploring the less touristy areas.
