The Hotel Villa Aurea comprises three buildings set in 30,000 square metres of parkland overlooking the Chiana Valley. The main building is a villa dating back to the 18th century fronted with an intricate wrought iron staircase. The hotel has 20 guestrooms, all of which combine traditional beamed ceilings and terracotta tiled floors with contemporary furnishings, fabrics, and prints, and include air conditioning, satellite television and minibars.
The hotel's restaurant Le Salette serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, with dishes from both local Tuscan and wider Italian cuisine. The spa centre offers an extensive range of treatments including massage treatments, oxygen therapy, mud therapy, hay baths, and more. Guests can stroll in the 30,000 square metre park with its 100 year old sequoia (redwood) tree, botanical gardens, ponds, natural cave, and private chapel. There is also an outdoor pool (seasonal) and solarium. Staff at the 24 hour front desk can advise on local sightseeing opportunities, as well as assisting with excursion bookings, shopping tours and bicycle hire. Sports such as tennis, horse riding and golf are available within three kilometres of the hotel grounds. Nearby attractions include the tomb of Pythagoras and the cathedral, both two kilometres from the hotel. The town of Siena is 60 kilometres from the hotel and Florence is 122 kilometres away. Perugia Airport (PEG) is 50 kilometres away, around 30 minutes by car.
